AMD Radeon RX 580 vs. R9 Fury vs. R9 390X vs. R9 290X Test & Graphics Comparison

GameStar PCs | Gaming PCs & Notebooks: We compare four graphics cards of the AMD RADEON Series: the high end card AMD Radeon R9 290X, R9 390X and R9 Fury with the brand new RX 580. We offer two parts in this video: The first part compares the performance of those cards while using the exact same graphics preset for each game and card – even when the specific preset exceeds the VRAM limit of the card. We use three games as benchmarks: GTA 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Witcher 3. We took great care that each benchmark sequence offers a nice average of what can be expected of each game. For example the GTA 5 benchmark sequence offers a mixture of city and countyside landscape. Each sequence is actually played three times, the fps values in the diagarms are the avarage of those runs. The second part aims to show the visual advantage or disadvantage of those cards. For each game we optimized the graphics to match at least stable 60 fps (with a small tolerance for rare drops to 55 or so). The more powerful the card, the higher the possible visuals without dropping below 60fps. Those individual graphics settings are compared with each other. At the end of the video we provide an overview of the tech specs of each card. Im Video haben wir folgende Karten im Detail genutzt: AMD Radeon R9 290X MSI Gaming 4G AMD Radeon R9 390X MSI Gaming 8G AMD Radeon R9 Fury ASUS Strix Gaming 4G AMD Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ Candyland on Facebook: Candyland on Twitter: Music: Parasail – Silent Partner System used in this video: GameStar-PC Ultra ------------------------------------ Hier kaufen: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz 16 GB DDR4 RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 MSI Z170A PC Mate Mainboard Windows 10 Pro 64bit

M Sar: If only the Fury had 8GB of HBM. 4K would be no problem.

Zacarriss: Look at it this way for people who need a Competent GPU that will remain Relevant for some years then the Rx 580 is where it's at if your Buying New or want to rule out Flaws due to Used Cards... Though the others are damm good cards even now. Price to Performance 1080p King... Though I will give an Honorable Mention of the GTX 1060 it's a good card as well, but for future VRam Usage 8 is better than 6 and the Memory is Faster out of the Box... I personally put the 580 slightly above the 1060 but also below, 1070 and Vega... Also it is mostly on par with the older AMD Flagships. But uses less Power.

Scott Stamm: Currently have a R9 290X 4G, just purchased a RX 590 8G, you should redo this to incorporate the RX 590, please!

NOFX: My R9 Fury-X is still amazing, and AWSOME frames in HTC-VIVE VR setup on my new ryzen 7 2700x, and this fury-x crushes anything that i can play on it STILL and its 1 month away from 2019! upgrading? noway! driver updates are still awsome as well, ALL new games like BF5 and Fallout76 have ran AAMAZING on this system, yes the GTX 1080 ti or 2080 ti are the king's but if you have 700$ go for it, but me? nah, 270$ is enough of me, and this fury-x is amazing and getting old enough i can laugh at all of you people upgrading every 2 years, all stay with my water cooled amazing r9-fury-x.

Richard Woo: roll on #tsmc

木村努: witch VRAM of RADEON RX 580 do you use in this test 4GB or 8GB?

Pepper-Pult Pult: Im choosing what to buy:R9 390X(powercolor devil) or ASUS R9 FURY X HBM 4GB memory.Which one should I take?I'm taking videocard for future and for years.Could you please give me an advice which one should I buy?

Priscila Caroline Gasparoto: fake

XtremeConditions: What I don't understand is why the Fury isn't outperforming the RX 580 by quite a bit. An RX 580 is still pretty far from a 1070, and the Fury should be close to a 1070 in performance! So what gives!?

Daniels: still cant believe that the R9 is equivalent to the RX 580

St Rose: Best thing about 390x is that it beats both 480 and 580 in GTA 5... 0 logic but it does!!!

feeblemind: not sure if my 390x is special or not but all these benchmark videos are completely wrong when it comes to its performance. Mine is performing on par with my friends 980ti which puts it about 1060ti 1070 level current gen which 100% blows RX away. I have almost 100 fps in witcher 3 at all times with ultra preset and 4k texture mod installed. not sure why you're getting so low results mate.

Brian Velazquez: is the RX 580 an 8gb one? or the 4gb?

William A: were 290x 8gb editions hard to come across? never see them in comparison videos, only the 4gb version

Ty Brown: Wow, the 390X is still kicking ass! So glad I got mine! I actually played PUBG at 1800p with medium settings recently. 32 to 38fps average, so I locked the FPS to 30 using Rivatuner, and enabled VSync. Frametime is near perfect and runs very smoothly!

M H: Overclocked r9 390x is a beast. Much better performance scaling than 480/580

Solaires Sun: bought an r9 390x during the mining boom when rx 580s were out of stock/ 500-600$. I managed to get the 390x for 250$ because I didn't wanna wait for the rx shit to drop. no regrets

Richard: The 580 is quite close to the Fury at 1080p. But the gap is wider at 1440p.

Hidde Hill: I can buy an Sapphire NITRO R9 FURY 4G Used for 315 Euros, Is that a good deal?
